OMFG I'm 30
I really didn't want to do anything at all for my 30th birthday. I've made life-changing decisions, celebrated my victories, and lamented my failures. Each one of them characterized different stages of my life. Looking back, I can say I am really not ready for the next chapter, and I certainly didn't want to remind myself of that by celebrating it. But I did, because, fuck, I am 30. I am, however, really grateful that
- my friends and families are in good health, and I don't see any sign of regression.
- my brother works for the company of my parent's dream, or maybe all fresh-off-college Taiwanese students' dream. He hates it, however.
- my two closest cousins are experiencing best time of their life, in college.
- I am not that much of a loner as how I imagined i was, I just live too far.
- I am surrounded by people - despite where I live, both from Taiwan and US - who would still consider me as a friend, and share my laughter with. Thank you.
Things that sucked because I am 30 now
- I'm still in school
- I'm still financially incapable of buying a house, however I will be buying an iPhone 4 soon.
- I'm still into manga
- dating
Things I'll be working on after June 11th:
- dieting
- saving
- And to mature emotionally, I have everything ass-backwards now.
Thanks to anyone who came to this small gathering, and anyone who didn't come and still said happy birthday.
