I was a bit hesistant about writing on anime for the long awaited update after my long absence from my own blog. It's like asking to be hit by a sign that says 'get a life, loser' in between my leg. But since it's the Anime Expo 06 season, so what the hell.
One of the most popular on going anime series for the summer season is
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The story revovles around a supposedly beautiful high school girl who is not interested in ordinary human men but aliens, time travelers and espers. However what's more to it is that even for an ordinary human girl with rather unique taste like Haruhi Suzumiya, she may be the one who created the aliens, time travelers, and espers (in other word, goddess). For those who's already following the series, good for you (and get a life), for those who hasn't, you should check it out.
Now what acutally made me want to blog about this is really the anime's ED (ending title, ending music, ending music video, whatever you call it). When I first started out the series, there was one small section of the ED where the characters were doing some dance to the music. That dance was so awefully Japanese that I coudln't take my mind off that. It was just like when I first saw Coolio with his Cockroach style afro, Dr Dre and Snoop Dog's west coast hand sign, or how New Yorkers are rude 101% of the time. Basically a cultural impact. So when my friend from Hong Kong told me I can acutally find real live version of the dance on youtube.com, I just had to check it out and share it on my site.
