Control Room

Short review on this documentary film I've just watched. Control Room is a documentary film that, instead of portrating filmmaker's perspective, it depicts the perspective of the media, specifically on the Iraqi War issue. Film's main character Al Jazeera news channel is a controversial news channel even for Iraqi themselve. It is controversial in a way that they want to stay balanced in reporting news about the war. Hussen's government despise them and accusing them for playing propaganda for United State government; U.S military hates them because their news footage could give away their whereabout and endager their soldiers. Their consistency on their stance in this war later led to an air bombing of their news office at Baghdad. Aside from all those media-manipulating-viewers-mind or news being objective..this film acutally did a fascinating job comparing different news agency and showed how government could intentionally (or unintentionally) make it happen. I recommend to all of those who wants to see the flip-side of those US news agency, or even you don't care..just get educated, watch it.
